Indian Stick Push
The stick push was played during festival occasions, where various games were played. The game was played in a playing area of about twenty yards square, which was marked off.
A long straight dry spruce pole was selected and smoothed. A common size for the pole was 25 to 30 feet in length. Four to five men is the usual size for a team.
The game started with two teams grasping their end of the pole, facing the centre towards the opposing team. The pole is centred over a centre marker, then on signal the teams try to push their opponents to the markers on the edge of the square.
After all teams have had a try at the game, the team that remains undefeated is the winner.
