Nakak Cho (Football)
Nakak Cho (Indian Football) is one of the most popular games among the Dinjii Zhuh (Loucheax).
The game was played in an open space. No set size of ground was needed, but more players would need a larger area to play in.
After the playing area was picked, two goals would be set up. The goals are made by putting two poles into the ground about 15 to 20 feet apart, at both ends of the playing area. Mooseskin and moose hair are used to make the ball, which is about 8 inches in diameter. After both teams were picked, the game would start when the ball is kicked from the centre of the playing area. The object of the game is to kick the ball through your opponent's goal posts.
The game has several special rules. The ball may be picked up and passed, or batted with the hands, but a player must not run with it. Also, if a person wishes to enter the game, he can play for either team, but to make the game more enjoyable, teams should be kept fairly even. The method of scoring for the game is optional. Any fair system of scoring may be used.
ln the olden days when the game was played, it usually became very rough, with players wrestling for the ball. The game ended when the players were weary of playing.
